Day 2 of the Flats Challenge!

I handwashed my first load of flats today and I was pleasantly surprised at how simple it was. I washed five at a time in a bucket sitting in the bathtub, rinsed them all, wrung them out, and hung them to dry!  They smelled soooo good after washing so I was happy about that.

I spent a total of $50 on my flats stash.

10 flats were gifted to me: FREE

20 flats I purchased from a friend: $30

2 Flip diaper covers bought in a seconds sale: $10 each

3 Snappis (One from each year's GCDC: FREE

You can barely diaper a baby for a month for that price using disposibles and these items will last me for years!

Not to mention how trim they are as seen in this picture below!

Day 1 of the Flats & Handwashing Challenge!

I wasn't the only one excited about the flats challenge! Eli was laughing and clapping as I put on the first flat of the day :)

I decided to take this challenge because I love cloth diapering with all my heart but I do tend to spend alot on diapers. I wanted to prove to myself and others that you can cloth diaper for VERY little and even without a washer and dryer! I have never handwashed diapers before so this will definately be a challenge for me.

I recently became a Real Diaper Circle Leader for the RDA and it made me REALLY want to do the flats challenge this year. I am so excited to go a whole week using flats and handwashing/hangdrying them. Let's hope I can stick to it and write updates here. :)

Today was a rainy day so we stayed inside and had a pajama day. :)

Writing this post late because I debating on using this picture or not but I figure what the heck! Isaac does this everytime we fold laundry so I may as well add this memory to our 366 project! lol

Mommies need naptime too!

Isaac has been great today. We played all morning like usual and I was just in awe of his wonderful imagination. He "cooks" and cleans and pushes his little trucks around like there is nothing else going on in the world! We made grilled ham and cheese for lunch and drank chocolate milk! The naptime came. Oh man did he not want to take a nap... So I let him play for a while longer until I could tell he was very tired and tried our nap time routine again. Isaac laid there looking so sweet and said "night night" but as soon as I shut the door he was screaming to get up. I just did our 3rd try of this because I desperately need some rest time today. I even held him and rocked and sang as he laid there in my arms but as soon as we went back to his bed he was a mess! He cried for some juice so I gave in and let him have some, laid him back down, gave him his blanket and his puppy. Now he's been quiet since I'm writing this so hopefully the poor little guy fell asleep because Mommy needs a naptime!

Better Day!

All I have to say is today was a better day :)

Mr. Crankypants!

Isaac woke up crying this morning and our day continued with that mood. He is getting a cold and was clingy all day. When he's in moods like this he gets super clumsy and fell a bunch so to save the day I gave him a bandaid which is what he is proudly showing off in the above picture.
Today was finally cold here, in the 20s, so we stayed inside all day and played as much as little man's mood would allow. Dh came home from work at naptime and off I went to my Dr appointment which went very well. :)
After nap the day continued to be not so happy for Isaac. He was so pitiful and I hate it when he feels this bad but he tries so hard not to be cranky.

Lazy days...

Not much went on today in our house. DH didn't have to work so we all just kind of hung out. We played with Isaac all morning building puzzles and watching him drive his truck all over the house! He even relaxed and watched a little TV in Daddy's new gamer chair :)
After nap Isaac found some change and came up to us saying "Eeeeee Eeee" which is what he says everytime he wants to put money in his piggy bank..lol
Off we went to his room to get his piggy bank down off the shelf for him to put his coins in. He has so much fun doing that!

Today I am 32weeks 3days pregnant and I've decided to add a picture of my belly everyday to let the new baby join in on this project!

Happy New Year!

So Isaac decided he would start 2012 off with a bang and sleep in until 10AM! Off course him being my alarm clock I did the same :) He was in a wonderful mood when he woke up and started playing with some beaded necklaces.

Christmas!

Don't have time to write much but just wanted to share some pictures and say we had a very blessed Christmas this year. Isaac had a blast opening his presents and it was fun watching him!

31 weeks :)

We had our 3D ultrasound this week and finally got a few good shots of the baby :)
I'm so glad to be 31 weeks pregnant tomorrow!
I know Isaac has no idea whats going on but I talk to him about the baby coming and he gives my belly kisses and I love it.

He's going to be such a great big brother.

Giving Thanks!

I am so thankful for everything in my life! I am thankful that I will be 26 weeks pregnant tomorrow and one day closer to meeting this beautiful little boy in my belly. I'm thankful for my in laws who are so loving and wonderful to me. I don't know what I would do without them <3 I am thankful for my loving and understanding husband. I do not show him how much I appreciate him and everything he does for our family but he is wonderful. I'm sooo soo thankful for Isaac and that I am able to be a stay at home mom and spend time with him. I love watching him grow and learn and reach new milestones everyday.

Trick or Treat!

Happy Halloween everyone! We went trick or treating with some friends of ours the other night and Isaac had a blast. He caught on very fast to what was going on and what he needed to do to get some candy! He was so friendly to everyone and looked so cute as ELVIS!!!
